Red Rooster Lifting offers two EMCE Capstan products.

Wormgear Capstan

These are self-braking worm gear capstan drives with electric, hydraulic or even pneumatic motors, available in on-deck or below-deck build types. The on-deck drive is equipped with a waterproof motor for intermittent use. The below-deck drive is equipped with a drip water-proof motor and a mounting plate with an extra self aligning bearing suitable for high static loads such as with mooring ropes. Pneumatic drives are available upon request.

Planetary Capstan

Featuring a cast iron capstan head mounted on a heavy duty planetary gearbox, the entire drive of the planetary capstan is mounted in a watertight tube frame providing optimal protection from the elements. Pneumatic drives are available upon request. Capstans of up to 15 tonnes can be offered upon request.

Red Rooster Lifting’s EMCE winches comply with the UK Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and the European Machinery Directive. The equipment can be UKCA marked or CE marked.
