Crane Scales

Red Rooster Lifting has a large range of TEO crane scale equipment available. TEO crane scale products are a versatile tool for all kinds of lifting purposes and range in capacity from 200 kg to 85 tonne. They are robust with very little maintenance required and the large dial allows for quick, accurate and easy reading for your load measuring application.

About our Crane Scale Load Cells

The TEO crane scale uses proven technology (hydro-static, bourdon tube) and incorporates it into a simple, functional and reliable weighing device.

In the TEO crane scale we have an inexpensive load-measuring device which can be hung up, used and then stored until the next time it is required, secure in the knowledge that it will continue to perform reliably.

Red Rooster Lifting’s range of load cell products, for use in engineering, industrial processes, manufacturing, and scientific research comply with the UK Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and the European Machinery Directive. The equipment can be UKCA marked or CE marked.

At Red Rooster Lifting we aim to offer you, the customer, the equipment you need when you need it most. Our experienced staff will help advise you with your equipment needs and will quickly confirm price and availability.

FAQs

A crane scale is a specialised weighing device designed for lifting and material handling applications. It is equipped with a load cell or multiple load cells to measure the weight of suspended loads, often in industrial and construction settings.

Crane scales are typically attached to the lifting hook or another attachment point of a crane, hoist, or other lifting equipment. These scales provide a convenient and efficient means of determining the weight of objects being lifted, making them essential for tasks like inventory management, shipping, and construction operations.

Crane scales come in various capacities and designs, and they may feature additional functions such as data recording and wireless communication for improved monitoring and control during lifting operations.

The accuracy of crane scales can vary, but modern designs and high-quality load cells contribute to reliable weight measurements. Typically, crane scales offer accuracy within a certain percentage of the measured load, often ranging from 0.1% to 0.5% of the full-scale capacity. However, the actual accuracy can be influenced by factors such as load cell quality, calibration procedures, environmental conditions, and usage patterns.

Regular calibration in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines is essential for maintaining accuracy, and users should be mindful of factors like temperature and humidity that can impact the performance of these scales. Despite potential variations, well-maintained and properly calibrated crane scales are generally capable of providing precise weight measurements in industrial lifting and material handling applications.
