The TMH-30T-CH is a 30 tonne cross hauling chain hoist from Red Rooster Lifting. This is part of our hook suspension air hoist range for lifting equipment applications in industry.
The new Red Rooster Lifting TMH series air hoists have the highest lifting speed with the lowest headroom on the hoist market. The TMH hoists are designed to operate at full lifting capacity with an air pressure from 4 – 6.3 bar. For full speed operation the hoist air pressure should be 6.3 bar.
This model of air hoist is suitable for ‘Cross Hauling’ working fully loaded at angles of up to 45 degrees from the vertical. It can be used for positioning and transferring loads with the load chains under tension between hoists (see Diagram 1). The safety factor built into the hoist means that the weight of the load being lifted/transferred will not cause either hoist to be overloaded during operation. Where modified for cross hauling at up to 45 degree angle the model number will end with ‘CH’.
When carrying out complex lifting operations like cross hauling to transfer loads from one hoist to another a formal work pack should be in place including a lift plan, method statement and a risk assessment completed by a competent person.
