TCR-1000-CH Cross Hauling Air Hoist

The Red Rooster Lifting TCR series of air hoists offers a comprehensive range of lifting equipment suited to all types of industrial and marine environments. Red Rooster Lifting hoists are the perfect lifting solution for where the duty is high, or where a robust hoist is required to withstand harsh conditions. The hoists comply with the UK supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and the European Machinery Directive. The hoists can be UKCA Marked or CE marked.

This model of air hoist is suitable for ‘Cross Hauling’ working fully loaded at angles of up to 45 degrees from the vertical. It can be used for positioning and transferring loads with the load chains under tension between hoists (see Diagram 1). The safety factor built into the hoist means that the weight of the load being lifted/transferred will not cause either hoist to be overloaded during operation. Where modified for cross hauling at up to 45 degree angle the model number will end with ‘CH’.

When carrying out complex lifting operations like cross hauling to transfer loads from one hoist to another a formal work pack should be in place including a lift plan, method statement and a risk assessment completed by a competent person.
