A traction winch is mainly built for purpose. Winches are built to order and can be executed with a self-braking worm gear or planetary gear depending on the load required.
The drive can be either electric, hydraulic or pneumatic. The traction winch is mainly used for traversing applications where a compact but heavy duty system is required. EMCÉ has supplied systems up to and including 10,000 kg.
We have supplied solutions for the following opening and closing of hangar doors, moving rail cars along a track, deep sea research and moving trolleys on a cable or at ground. Systems can be supplied with endless cables or with a separate wire spooling unit.
