A big #YourLiftingTeam congratulations to Mitchel Riddoch on being awarded his Certificate of Completion for his first year in his apprenticeship by our Production Director, Paul Shewan.

The 17-year-old has successfully completed year one with an SVQ Level 5 in Performing Engineering Operations, learning the fundamentals of Health & Safety, Bench Fitting, Machining, Maintenance, Fabrication, Welding, and Engineering Numeracy. He’s working through his second year, which will provide Mitchel with a National Certificate in Engineering Systems, delivering the principles of Mechanical Maintenance Engineering.
Mitchel started with Red Rooster Lifting at 16 in April 2022, when he was hired as a Workshop Assistant. However, the company saw the potential in his keen work ethic and interest, offering the teenager a place in their Apprenticeship Programme, which he gladly accepted. The Apprenticeship will see Mitchel through a 3-year course which will have him graduate with an HNC in Engineering Practice in 2025 at just 19.

We’re delighted to have another young person joining our team and learning the vital skills to maintain a thriving career in the lifting industry.
